Glow motor - oil and electrics

Not sure if this is the best place to post but feel free to move it.

Bit worried about my electrics getting too much of the good oil and being damaged. How do you protect you electrics from oil, dust and general udesirable filth.

How are they getting oily?

I fly a lot of profiles and the tail-servos get *drenched* in oil. Never had a failure yet.

The worst that happened was that the wires got stiff but that didn't hurt anything.

The oil in most engines is pretty benign so won't corrode anything or cause anything to short out from an electrical perspective and if it gets into the gears of your servos, it might even make them run smoother ;-)

I was worried that it might cause some electrical issued .

Hadnt crossed by mind that it wasn't conductive, but i seem to recall my 27mhz days of the RC glow cars and the electrics failing. I always associated that with the oil but it could have bene anything really.
