Just read a review on the tower pro servo which sent me running to the shed to see if they were the same as the ones I have just put in my new model . Relieved to see they weren't as they had had such a terrible write up . Wanted to know whether all tower pro servos are a bit sub standard or is it just the reveiwed model ?

They vary -- but generally speaking they're not a "high quality" servo.

I've had Towerpro 946R servos burn up on the bench and I've seen a surprisingly high failure rate for the 5010 servos whenever there's any vibration about.

Not my first choice of servo brand I'm afraid.
