right Bruce. ;)
I do see however that the Spectrum DX5/something is down to $60 now. No bells , whistles nuthin. But at least you can get a cheap(er) radio for those Bind N Fly models that are so cute.

Yeah, Spektrum is still probably the best/only option for BNF models and give that these are lightweight electrics made of foam, any "issues" related to DSM2 are likely to be of far less consequence.

Have to agree. I care much less about some cheap foamie compared to my big glow powered planes. Aside from my Kraft/Corona conversion all my radios are 72.

It's amazing isn't it? In this era of 2.4GHz, spread-spectrum, ultra-low latency, ultra-high resolution -- 72MHz still works!

In fact, because there are fewer people fighting for pegs, it actually works better than it ever did!

Absolutely, the freq box at our field is almost completely full. In the last year and a half I can only remember having to share a pin twice, and it can get crowded at our place. ;)

Okay, at the HOME page in the WALL NEWS section there is a posting that someone is going to review the "new'" $15.00 ORANGE 2.4 DSM2 Receivers from China?

I like to see where that Review Article is located?

All jokes aside as I am "seriously" considering buying some.

Any links to the Review Article will be greatly appreciated!

These receivers seem to work quite well but have a slow-relink time after brownout -- like the earlier Spektrum receivers.

I'll be posting the full review shortly.
