My FrSky telemetry project

Telemetry is the new "big thing" in RC systems. If you've got something to say or a question to ask, do it here.

I'm tidying up some code right this minute. Getting stuff working is one thing, getting it working exactly the way I want it, takes a little longer.

Unfortunately the weather forecast for this weekend's looking pretty bad (strong wind and rain) -- typical, it's a holiday weekend here and we get Monday (also wet/windy) off as well.

Oh well, there's always Tuesday for a test flight.

Do you have any videos of it yet and some of the preliminary notes on how to make. I not the sharpest tool in the box when it comes to electronics, but willing to give it a go. I will be the 2nd supplier of the FrSky system in Australia, and want to have a system to show people what the FrSky can do. (not looking to sell what you have done). I have been talking to Eva at FrSky and they said they are working on there own "dashboard" for release mid june.

Oh, so they have a release date for their two way system now? I have been trying to get that information from FrSky, but they have been unable to provide me with a release date as the casing was not yet done (I last talked to them a week ago, (jonathan)). I have been asking RC shops here in Norway to carry FrSky, but no luck yet. (One of them said they had had the system in for testing, and they liked it quite alot, but for "undetermined reasons" they decided not to carry them)

Well they still haven't got the covers in yet, but they are saying next week, I don't know when they will be released to the public yet, trying to work that out with them still.

That is good news though. I bet there will be alot of DIY projects around the telemetry feature!

Hey Bruce
hows the project going, have you had any luck with the weather, done any testing?
Takilara if you are looking to purchase the Frsky telemetry Module I am happy to supply it for you (when they are finally released) But I want to do my own testting first before I sell them to other people.

Weather's still rubbish here. It's been raining constantly until this afternoon and now there's a *very* stiff breeze.

Still, it can't stay bad forever!

The weather's still crap here -- rain and wind.

It *is* expected to clear from Wednesday of next week so I'm aiming to get some flight-tests done then.

I hate winter!
