My new 1.9m Tomahawk Futura powered by a Ramtec/Scorpion fan/motor combination on 12S12000. 7.5KW at 180A producing 20lbs thrust.
Unfortunatley I only get half the flight time (6-7 minutes) that a turbine would get but in couple years no doubt the power density in lipos will have increased. So EDF will match turbine one day.
