Yeah, I can see how that would be appealing. Before I bought the gyro I tried flying in (roughly) 30kph wind with gusting to 45. The flight lasted about 30 seconds and consisted entirely of me thinking "oh s**t, I should have listened to the guys on the forums about flying in high wind" while desperately trying to keep the plane level. Thankfully I managed to get it down with no damage, more arse than class I'm sure. I bought the gyro partly to save the plane from any future acts of stupidity, and partly just as an experiment to see how well they actually work. I have to admire it, just flick a switch and my plane flys level, sweet.
