The Crocolis HD Extreme camera

Postby Sid Sideslip » Tue Sep 27, 2011 10:12 pm

Just thought I'd pop in a mention of the Crocolis HD Extreme camera. It seems to have similar specs to the GoPro but with a less draggy shape.

Here's a review on the Techmoan YouTube channel. Techmoan also does a good review of the 808 #11 key-chain camera.

HI Sid, do you know if the TV Out is still functional while its recording? I seriously thinking of using this for FPV.

Hi Paul, yes it does, however you have to leave the "door" open at the back to be able to plug it in. The video lag is apparently OK for FPV work, though I can't remember the delay in milliseconds. I'm also thinking of using this camera.

You may be interested in these links to the FPVUK forum. The first link is a general look at the camera:

The second link details a strip down and provision for video out whilst recording:

Thanks SId, will see if there are any good solutions to this. (BTW: Finished off the Antennas, will test them out soon. . . looks promising).

Allan, thanks for the links will have to read through those carefully . . but at first glance looks like great info

Great links Alan, thanks.

One chap stripped it down so as to use it all in a different case. About 40 grams of bits without the battery. Be nice if we could just source the components rather than the whole camera.

@ Paul. What antennas did you make up? A cloverleaf for the Rx and maybe a new Tx antenna too? Pics plox. :-)
