Just received my FlySky 9x radio today, after opening it and looking at the SCK solder pad. I can confirm that this is second generation radio. Cheers.

If you have the programmer you want a 10 pin boxed header

This supplier has short lengths of coloured ribbon cable but you can get suitable wire from multi stranded burglar alarm cable.

I ordered the flysky 9x just before christmas 2011 from hobbypartz.com it was here in a week it was at my door new years eve.Any way it is the same radio as the turnigy 9x apart from the outer casing is black not grey does come with v2 plus there is know second aerial just the 2.4 ghz one and i must admit not had any problems with mine so far so very pleased with it so far
